Turning war into peace — one pair of earrings at a time.
These are not just earrings. The Peace Bar Earrings carry a message that matters — handcast from recycled brass bombshells left over from Cambodia’s wartime, transformed by skilled artisans into something beautiful and meaningful. Highly polished and elegantly simple, they read “peace” in Khmer — the language of Cambodia — a quiet, powerful reminder that beauty can rise from the most broken places. Every pair you purchase creates fair trade jobs for disadvantaged Cambodian artisans, helping families thrive with food on the table and hope for the future.
These earrings are handmade by ironwork artisans living in an underprivileged community in the Kandal Province, approximately 45 minutes from Phnom Penh. Bomb casings left over from Cambodia’s devastating wartime three decades ago are skillfully molded into beautiful jewelry pieces — introducing fair income to communities where 30% of the population still lives below the poverty line. Artisans are paid fairly and equitably for their work, preserving traditional Cambodian skills and keeping families together. The designs draw inspiration from Cambodia’s rich cultural tapestry, restoring and honoring a heritage that endured unimaginable hardship. When you wear these earrings, you carry that story — and help write a better one.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9
