Bring the timeless words of Silent Night into your home with this stunning 5x7 matte hymn art print. Whether displayed in a bedroom, nursery, entryway, or given as a gift, this piece is a quiet reminder of the peace and wonder of Christmas — all year long.
On Christmas Eve, 1818, a church organ broke down in a small Austrian village. Rather than let the night pass without music, priest Father Joseph Mohr brought his poem to composer Franz Xaver Gruber, who set it to melody that very day. That night, the two men performed Silent Night for the first time by candlelight — Mohr on guitar, Gruber singing bass. What began as a humble solution to a broken organ became one of the most beloved songs in history, now translated into over 300 languages and recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage.
