Every bird deserves a beautiful home. And every home deserves a little more beauty. 🐦✨
The Seagrass & Sari Birdhouse is a one-of-a-kind, handwoven treasure crafted by fair-trade artisans in Bangladesh from two extraordinary natural materials — natural seagrass and repurposed sari fabric. No two are alike. Ever. Because no two recycled saris are alike.
A Reminder of God’s Provision: Jesus himself pointed to the birds as a living reminder of God’s faithfulness. “Look at the birds of the air,” He said, “they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” (Matthew 6:26). Every time you look at this little birdhouse — hanging in your garden, swaying gently in the breeze — let it be a reminder that the same God who cares for the sparrow cares infinitely more for you.
About the Materials:
🌿 Seagrass: A fast-growing, naturally renewable aquatic plant harvested sustainably from waterways. Strong, flexible, and breathable — it creates a warm, natural structure perfectly suited for birds to nest and roost in comfort.
🧵 Repurposed Sari Fabric: Saris are the vibrant, richly colored traditional garments worn by women across South Asia. Rather than going to waste, fabric cuttings are lovingly woven into each birdhouse — giving new life to something beautiful and keeping it out of landfills. The result is a burst of color and pattern that makes every birdhouse completely unique.
Designed and curated by KORISSA, a fair-trade organization dedicated to sustainable handcraft and artisan livelihoods in Bangladesh. Each purchase directly supports the skilled hands that made it.
