She stands in steel and roses, holding the light. ✨

The Standing Rose Angel Candle Holder is unlike anything else — a tall, commanding angel, hand-hammered from recycled steel, her skirt cut in an intricate rose pattern that catches the light and casts it back in a thousand directions. At 12" x 19", she is a true statement piece — large enough to anchor a mantle, a console, a dining table, or an entryway, and beautiful enough to make everyone who enters the room stop and look. She holds a candle tray, so when the flame is lit, the light passes through every cut rose in her skirt and fills the room with warmth and pattern — the angel illuminated from within, glowing with the light she was made to hold. There is nothing quite like her. We have never seen a tall standing angel with a cut-rose patterned skirt — and once you see her, you will understand why she is impossible to forget.

Place her on a mantle as the centerpiece of a faith-filled home. Set her on a dining table for a dinner that feels like a celebration. Give her as a gift to someone who will treasure her for a lifetime. This is the piece that becomes an heirloom — the one that gets pointed to and talked about, that carries the story of where it came from and who made it, that means more with every passing year.

The Art of Croix-des-Bouquets

This angel was handcrafted at the Village Artistique de Noailles in Croix-des-Bouquets — the most celebrated center of metal art in the Caribbean, and one of the most remarkable folk art communities in the world. The tradition of Haitian metal art was born in the mid-20th century, when artists in Croix-des-Bouquets discovered that discarded steel oil drums — the cast-off material of industry — could be cut, hammered, and shaped into works of extraordinary beauty. What began as an act of creative resourcefulness became a living art tradition, passed down through generations of skilled metal artists who have made Croix-des-Bouquets famous around the world. Each piece begins as a recycled steel drum, flattened and coated with a protective gloss varnish, then cut and hammered by hand into the intricate designs that are the signature of this tradition. Because every piece is made by hand, there will be slight variations from one angel to the next — each one unique, each one carrying the mark of the artist who made it.

The Artist

This piece was created by Jean Edmond, one of the master metal artists of the Village Artistique de Noailles. The rose-patterned skirt — intricate, precise, breathtaking in its detail — is the work of his hands and his vision. When you bring this angel into your home, you are bringing the work of a master craftsman, a living tradition, and a story that stretches back generations.
